Project NUMERO (Numeracy Enhancement and Reinforcement Opportunities) Program
The Project NUMERO (Numeracy Enhancement and Reinforcement Opportunities) Program orientation for parents was held last November 4, 2023 at 2:30 in the afternoon. The mathematics group through the leadership of Ms. Benita Martillos spearheaded this meaningful engagement. Even though it was a Saturday, the parents willingly attended to learn more about Project NUMERO. It is in accordance with Deped Order No. 013 s. 2023 also known as the Adoption of the Learning Recovery Program in the Department of Education and Deped MATATAG agenda, this project will be of great assistance to all the learners in achieving the goals of bridging learning gaps and providing greater complexity of Mathematics competencies. Parents of the learners in grades three, four, and five, as well as those in grades six, attended the orientation. It was a very straightforward but thorough orientation. When to begin and how long their children should stay in school for the NUMERO class were explained to the parents. It is reiterated that there will be no financial obligations with the NUMERO program. Furthermore, the goal of this project is to improve and reinforce the learners’ mathematical skills and performance. It is vital for providing learners with the knowledge and skills required to develop critical and logical thinking abilities. This program will serve two groups of learners: intervention and enhancement. The orientation concluded with big smiles; we are hopeful that this will serve as the antidote to the poor math performance.
