Empowering Educators: SDO Pasay Hosts Microsoft Productivity Tools Training Seminar

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Pasay successfully conducted the “Training of Teachers on Microsoft Productivity Tools for DepEd Computerization Program Adoption” from December 11 to 14, 2024, at Hortz Hotels and Resorts, Tagaytay City. This four-day seminar brought together elementary and secondary ICT Coordinators and teachers to enhance their technological skills and familiarize themselves with Microsoft productivity tools essential for digital education and administration.

Comprehensive Training Sessions

The program was packed with engaging and practical sessions delivered by renowned experts in the field:

Day 1:
Participants explored the basics of Microsoft 365 with:

  • Session 1.1: Microsoft 365 Overview
  • Session 1.2: Microsoft 365 OneDrive
  • Session 1.3: Microsoft Forms

Day 2:
The second day focused on core office applications:

  • Session 2.1: Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Session 2.2: Microsoft Word
  • Session 2.3: Microsoft Excel

Day 3:
Participants were introduced to collaboration and content management tools:

  • Session 3.1: Microsoft Teams
  • Session 3.2: Microsoft SharePoint

Day 4:
The final day highlighted AI-powered tools and strategic planning:

  • Session 4: Microsoft Copilot
  • Session 5: Workplace Action Plan

Each day concluded with Quality Assurance, Technical Assistance, and Monitoring and Evaluation (QATAME) to assess the participants’ learning progress.

Culmination and Impact

The seminar concluded with a Post Test and a Closing Program that emphasized the importance of the skills acquired. Participants expressed their appreciation for the hands-on approach and comprehensive guidance provided throughout the training.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in the DepEd Computerization Program, as it equips educators with the tools to adapt to a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
